 Carrier

began his career as an irrigation engineer in the Ministry of Agriculture, then went on to work as a technical officer in water management with FAO, Land and Water Division.

International Water Management Institute (IWMI), as a Board member since 2001and a Board Chairman between 2005 and 2007.

International Commission on Irrigation and Drainage (ICID) as a member of various working groups since 1998, and worked as a chairperson of the Working Group on History between 2002 and 2009, and as a vice chairperson of the Working Group on Environment since 2011.

He works with numerous development agencies in Japan, including Japan International Cooperation Agency and NGOs, and is a member of PAWEES.

*ICID

 - began to attend ICID Conference from 2003 when the conference was held in Monpellier, France.

 - The total number of ICID event attendance is 10 as of 2014

 - Currently, editing an ICID Special Issue as a guest editor

  *ASABE

 -  have attended the ASABE meeting from the late 1980s when he was a graduate student at University of Maryland, U.S.A.

- As a member of ASABE, actively joined both presentation, committee meeting and discussion.

 attended 3 world water forums; 2006 WWF4 (Mexico City, Mexico), 2009 WWF5 (Istanbul, Turkey) and 2015 WWF7 (Gwangju, Korea)
